Over Christmas break we went to Hill Airforce Museum. It was awesome! So Here are pics from it...I know I always post a million pictures...I am just so bad at choosing which ones to use! As you can probably tell our family contains major fans of airplanes!

What A Life!

I finally am updating on our family!! Sorry that this is a fairly long post.... :-) If you make it to the end I will be impressed!

We had a wonderful Christmas and New Years! We went to Orderville for 2 days, then to Arizona, then to Brian Head to Ski and then to our beloved Cedar City for New Years! We stayed with our friends, the Erickson's! Gaige got to ski for his first time! What a snow bunny! It was a blast!

Over the break Briel learned to crawl! (about 6 days before she turned 8 months). She now can stand up on holding on to any surface...and can walk around holding on to the hot chocolate table (since we dont drink coffee)! :-) She is so fun and really growing fast. She even says her (almost) first word...mamamamama....mainly when she is getting hurt or attacked from Gaige! She loves to smile and laugh...oh and also to be awake ALL the time! :-)

Gaige is also so much fun and boy does he have an imagination! I love how my hope chest has transformed into a cliff that he jumps off into a ravine of all the blankets in our house. How my bed is the world's funnest trampoline...he even does somersaults on it! He is always pretending..."you monster"...."you trwain"......"you ghost".... One of my favorite things he said to me lately "what are you talking bout?" (I wonder all the time what I am talking bout!)

But yes sometimes being a parent is a challenge that tests me greatly...like oh just a few seconds ago Gaige found a nice bright red button to click off...and turned off the computer when I was in the middle of burning a family home video and doing this post! I am FAR from being a perfect parent and they teach me each day to try to be better and to realize how imperfect I am....I am constantly saying sorry for when I lasps into acting worse than a two year old( like how I reacted when he turned off the computer). I am amazed at how instantly forgiving and loving a child is. When I get frustrated or upset, Gaige comes over to me and say "a need hugs." I hope to become more like my children and my husband....my family completes me.

This quote has really helped me lately when I have seen some "qualities" arise in Gaige that shocked me and that I didn't like. This was kind of an epiphany for me....

"If there is anything we wish to change in a child, we should first examine it and see it if is not something that could be better changed in ourselves." C.G. Jung

I looked at myself and started to see where he was learning this things and was surprised to see that I had fostered some of his bad behavior...so I have tried to change myself.....so who is doing the raising here? My children are truly helping and inspiring me to try harder to become the person they deserve to have in their lives. I love them so much. I am constantly making mistakes and praying that the Lord will help me with all my inadequacies.

Briel was blessed on July 4th. Toby's whole family was there-thanks for coming everyone- it was so fun! I don't have the pictures of the actual blessing day to upload but these are some pictures we had taken here in Arizona while we visit. Thanks mom for funding them and helping me be motivated to do it! Toby is getting his pilot's rating and so we are in Chino for a month or so.

Welcome Baby Briel Ruth

Briel came shooting into this world May 5th, 2010 at 3:55pm after only 1.5 minutes of pushing. Briel was due on April 28th so she was 1 week overdue. She weighs 7 pounds 2 ounces, is 19.5 inches long and her head circumference is 13.5 inches. We are so happy to have her here. Of course she is beautiful and perfect to us. :-)

The following is the birth story if you are interested...it is kind of lengthy so you can skip and just look at the pictures if you want! Dr. Newman (our amazing doctor) was going out of town this weekend so he called and wanted to know if we were interested in inducing before he left. We scheduled the inducement for 4:00am on Wednesday. However, since I am GBS (group strep B) positive, I had to get 2 doses of penicillin before they could break my water. Dr. Newman broke my water at 9:50am. I was dilated to a 3 at this point. Painful contractions (active labor) started at about 12pm. Toby and I walked laps around the "course" in the labor & delivery wing of the hospital many times. I was dilated to 4cm at 1:00pm. At 2:30 our wonderful nurse, Christy, checked me again and I was still only at 4cm. Needless to say I was a little discouraged that after 2 hours of painful contractions I hadn't progressed much. I started contemplating getting an epidural (I didn't get one with Gaige so I was nervous). I decided to wait a little bit longer to see if I would progress more or not. At 3:30 I had dilated to a 6cm, so I thought delivery was a long way off and I was tired, hungry and discouraged. The contractions from 3-3:30 had been really close and very painful so I had them give me an IV of narcotics (fentenyl) to ease the pain. They were great and took off the edge so my body would relax. Then surprisingly I went from the 6 to a 9 in 15 minutes. We think the pain meds helped just enough to get me to relax so I could dilate faster. They called Dr. Newman and he got here just in time to catch her (he got there at 3:53 and Briel was delivered 2 minutes later). She was ready to get out! She came out crying and with eyes wide open. She ate for 45 minutes after she came out. It was wonderful. I had an amazing support crew! My mom gave me two 30 minute foot rubs, Toby walked with me and comforted me and let me squeeze off his hand and the nurses rubbed my lower back while I was having the horrible contractions.

Craig, Sofia & Anastasia brought us tulips and a cute outfit set. They are such great friends. Toby also brought me a beautiful pink rose.Grandma & Grandpa Sorensen & Uncle Lane & Clint came to visit us too! Gaige trying to feed the baby ice.The beautiful b-day cake/brownie my awesome friend Hanna made for me....yummy brownies that kept me sustained since hospital food is not so good.

Coming Home!!We are so happy and feel so blessed to have her here and have our prayers answered. Gaige is such a wonderful older brother. He just pats her head and kisses her and loves her. He is so soft with her!

All Board! Welcome to the North Pole!

There have been so many exciting & fun things in December & January! First we visited the North Pole. Here are some pictures. It was amazingly decorated! Gaige's friend Ella was there too! They had a blast! Then we went down to Arizona for Christmas! It was awesome! The cousins had so much fun together. There were 7 kids all under 3! Crazy! The Cousins loved the trampoline (especailly tackling eachother) & being outside together! Papa took them on hikes, made slides & tunnels and everything! We put mattresses on the stairs and they would all slide down- crazy! Here are three of the cousins- Ady, Gaige & Clayton!This was Christmas Eve night. Papa & Nama did a swedish night- here they are with Gaige all dressed up! What cute grandparents! Below is Gaige with the Swedish Tompta! He brought Gaige the viking hat and sword...Gaige was not too sure about sitting on his lap though!This is Christmas Morning. Gaige was a little tired since he was the first kiddo up, so he was drinking some chocolate milk to make it better! Gaige got this train for Christmas and loves it- if you can't tell! Gaige loves trains. He signs it and says train all the time.Here is Gaige in his batman outfit & viking hat from Nama & Papa and his pull train from Mama & Dada. Speaking of trains...Nama & Papa Suprised us with Pjs and tickets to ride the Polar Express Train ride in Williams! It was awseome!!!! The Whole Gang!All the Cousins in their PJs!Gaige was so excited to see the Train pull up...he just sreamed with delight! Boy was it cold waiting to board it though!!Ady, Gaige & Clayton with their tickets on the Polar Express!!!Our little Family!Ariving at the North Pole to pick up Santa Clause! Santa gave everyone a bell. Boy was that loud! The kids loved it!!! What an amazing experience and so fun!!!! The whole next week Gaige was signing train hoping to go on one again!

The Old Guy!

Toby turned 26 on Monday (yea lame on study day). He was gone all day, so we celebrated on Sunday! It was fun...except for everything flopped...the cake...the steak....but it was funny! Hey and at least there is ice cream which is a no-fail dessert!! Since we went to Brazil I wasn't supposed to get Toby anything...but I just got him some things he needed anyway. Thanks to Nama & Papa Larson his b-day was awesome! They gave Toby got a GPS, small Grill & movies!Here are some pictures!

The next few pictures are Gaige and I making the most ugly cake I have ever seen or made! :-) We didn't have powdered sugar and so we tried to make it from granulated sugar since it was Sunday.....yea nasty....then the wings of the cake fell off and gaige took a dip in the little decorating job I did.....yea I was cracking up!

Left over nasty frosting...I thought Gaige would like to play in it...but no...when I give him permission to make a mess he doesn't want to of course!!! :-) SO I wrote Toby love notes! :-)

Well I thought that I should post about Halloween before it is next Halloween! :-) Gaige was an airplane pilot and Toby and I were...you guessed it...parents! Yea so origional! It was fun, we just went to the elderly neighbors in our neighborhood and to our old Bishop Kenney's house. Ella, Gaige's almost twin friend, and her parents Hanna & Forrest, came trick or treating with us! They are just too cut with eachother!

Carving pumpkins...so fun! Gaige loved when the candle was put in and the lights were off... he would make his monstar growl and point at it. So fun!

Okay so this was forever ago...but here are two pictures from the sky festival that was here in Cedar! It was beautiful! Gaige loved it and would sign balloon. They also had a air plane demonstration that was really neat to watch too! Thanks to Bridget for the family photo!

Gaige & Papa on the tractor! Gaige and I visited my parents in Arizona while so that Toby could have more time to study for the HUGE 8 hour engineering test he has to pass to graduate! Thanks everyone for your prayers! Also my parents were helping me out since I have been so sick with this pregnancy! I don't know what I would do with out them!!!! We missed Toby a ton though and will never leave him for that long again! Thankgoodness for video chatting!

Gaige in the baggage compartment on the plane...(on the way to Oklahoma to visit my brother Zack, his wife Keri and their cute girls Adylin & Brinkley)! Gaige wanted to stay in there the whole time...the trip would have been more peaceful, but boring! While in Oklahoma we went to a petting farm..which was a blast! We fed the animals, went on a hay ride, slid down a huge slide & the kids rode mules/donkeys. Here are some pictures!

Gaige is 17 Months! Crazy! He loves to slide down anything! He likes to slide down the moss filled ditch with the irrigation water & any inclines! He is just a joy to be with! He signs 37 words and says about 8 words. He loves to cuddle babies and give his mom kisses. He is totally boy..loves hats, trucks, rocks, dirt, water....outside....everything! We love him tons!!!

We had a ward campout on July 10th-11th. On saturday some of us went hiking to this beautiful waterfall...the trail was "closed" due to a land slide....but we braved it and hiked anyway! The hike is really cool...it goes right along side the mountain..so fun! Gaige loved it! Anything outdoors and he is happy!!

Gaige was so distracted and excited to be outside it was really hard to get him to "pose" for the picture, let alone look and smile at all of us making fools of ourselves. The only way we got the smile above was having Toby ride his bike very very fast straight at Gaige sitting here!

Amazing Brasil!

We're Back! Brazil was awesome! We loved it! This will be a really long post. Feel free to just look at the pictures if you don't want to know all the details! Toby and I go back and forth about explaining everything so I hope it will make sense!

Ginatto, Isabel, & Toby

The first night we got to Brazil, Alessandro & Isabel Ginatto took us to the Corinthians futebol (soccer) game! It was awesome, aside from getting squished by all the fans that were trying to push their way into the stadium. :-) The fans there are crazy! They have all these special chants and songs and the whole stadium erupts with them! It is really neat. There were tons of police there, and most of them were surrounding the opposing team's 20 fans! The stadium we went to was called the Estádio do Pacaembu where Pre. Hinckley went to for re-dedication party of the Sao Paulo temple the day before the temple was re-dedicated. Toby and my brother Zack were at the re-dedication ceremony and the party before when they were on their missions!

We also went to the center of the city of Sao Paulo. We saw a beautiful cathedral there. We also went up on top of the Bane Spa ,the tallest building in Sao Paulo, patterned after the Empire State Buliding. The view is incredible, just rows and rows of buildings as far as the eye can see.

We also walked around the 25 de Marco Street looking at all the street vendors and bought soccer jerseys. The "stores" go on forever down many streets. There are people selling all sorts of things. It was really fun. We had some fresh squeezed manga and maraquaja juice that brought back lots of memories of Toby’s mission to be here with all the smell, sights, and tastes of juices and food. Toby love Mango juice!

While in the center we saw this guy who painted himself as a statue and when you put money into his can, he comes alive. It was really neat!

We also walked to parque do Ibirapuera (just a few miles from our hotel) and walked around the beautiful park.

Ginatto took us to the museum of Ipiranga an old house of Dom Pedro I, he was the first president of Brasil. It is a pretty old mansion. I joked around and call it their "yellow house" (like our white house), because for a while the presidents of the country lived there.

Ginatto also took us to Toby's last area, Climax and Maria Estela. We ate lunch at Luzia’s house. She is the sweetest little old lady ever. It was good to be with her again and to know that she is still strong in the church. Here is everyone from the left to right: Lucia, Ginatto, Evely, Savy, Toby outside of Lucia's house.
Luzia with Ginatto's bellyAfter eating there and talking for a while we went to visit Sandro, Cida, Evely. Evely is still going to church but for some reason the parents are not going anymore. It is sad when you work so hard to teach the gospel and they grasp it then for some reason they drop it. We then went to Bishop Danta’s house (we forgot to get pictures of them :-(.) it still has the same good feeling in his house as it did on the mission when we visited. He then took us to a ward activity at the church and got to meet a lot of people from the ward again. Then he was nice enough to take us back to the hotel.
On Sunday we went to Diadema for church. The ward split so only half the ward was familiar to me. It was good that the ward is growing enough to make a new ward but sad I didn’t get to meet everyone again. We ate lunch at Rose house (she is the lady on the left of Toby in the picture above that was taken outside the church). She is such a sweet lady. She is really sad though because her family doesn’t want anything to do with the church.
After lunch at Rose's house we went to Bishop Nelson's house, His wife's name is Lilian and their daughter's name is Rachel. It was so fun to be with them! They were so nice.

The next week we went to the center of Sao Paulo again and on Tuesday we went to the ZOO (there is a white Tiger above our heads in the picture above) and then to Judy & her Family's house for Dinner.

On wednesday we went to a town about 30 miles outside of the city called Embu Das Artes. Embu was beautiful and we found some amazing souvenirs that Toby never got when he was on his mission. On Thursday we checked out of our hotel and went to the temple to do sealings with Isabel & Alessandro (aka Ginatto) and later to get yummy pizza. Friday The Ginattos took us to Santos. Alessandro's Family lives there.

After 8 days in Sao Paulo, we went to Santos & Sao Vicente, which are right on the beach. We stayed in a hotel that was right on the beach, but there is a Avenida that is a very busy street that is right in front of the hotel so it was really loud. we got a room that overlooked the beach, for the same price as the cheapest room since the room we were supposed to have stunk like smoke. However, the hotel was still "Crap." I won't go into though :-).
On Saturday the Ginattos took us to Guaruja since the beaches there are better. We had to take a car ferry, which was cool (look below). We also went canoeing too up a really cool river! It was beautiful! Then we went to the beach which was a blast!

The Lammanites!! The guide told us that this clay stuff from under the water is used medicinally to make beautiful skin, so our hottie husbands wanted to give it a go! I think the guide just told them that to make them look silly! :-) J/K.

Saturday night we went and saw Liv and her two boys, Lucca & Oliver. They are such wonderful people. On Monday we went to the beach in front of our hotel with them. It was a blast.
Sunday we went to the ward in Santos that Toby was in as a missionary. It was really neat because the Elders Quorum president, Morgado, was a man who Toby had started teaching just before he left (the picture is above). He got to plant a seed, so that was special for him to see. After Church we went to Ginatto's (Toby calls Alessandro "Ginatto" and Ginatto calls Toby "Sorensen" since they knew eachother by their last names as missionaries) parent's house for lunch. It was great! They are really nice people. His dad is in the Stake Presidency and was able to find Robson e Kelly, since they moved. Robson e Kelly are a couple Toby worked with who later got sealed in the Temple (Toby was able to attend the sealing on his mission too). We spent the rest of Monday with them and then the drove us back to Sao Paulo. It was really fun.

Ginatto and his family let us stay at their house Monday night which was so nice. Tuesday morning we went to the temple with Isabel & Alessandro for a session. It was beautiful. The temple is gorgeous! Then we went to the mall and other places trying to get a few more sounveniers (like their cheap & cool soccer jerseys). Then we flew home all night and got to Vegas at 10:00 the next day! It was an amazing trip!

Thanks so much to my parents for watching our sweet little Gaige and thanks to the Ginattos for being our taxi, we wouldn't have gotten to do what we did without them! They are great friends, even if I can't communicate with them. :-)

Gaige turned 1 on Tuesday! We had his birthday on Monday so Papa & Nama Larson could come. The theme was airplanes. For invitations we made airplane tickets "Gaiger ZE Airlines." For decorations we hung airplane, clouds & red, white & blue streamers from the ceiling with balloons! We also had red, blue and airplane plates cups & napkins. Toby made a F-22 plane out of a cake for everyone. Savanna made a plane (from a cake mold) for Gaige to play in. He really wasn't interested in eating it though. Anytime we put the cake ion his mouth he would just spit it out. We can't believe that he is one already! It has been the best year ever! Gaige is our greatest joy and has brought such fulfillment into our lives!! We love our Gaige!! Thanks to everyone who came. Here are some pictures.

Brazil Here We Come!!

Well we are officially going to Brazil to see Toby's mission. We bought our tickets & our visas are being processed! We are way excited! We will be gone for two weeks....the only sad thing is that we will be leaving our Gaiger! He will be in good hands though. Nama & Papa Larson offered to watch him. Boy is he going to get spoiled! We will have to de-papafy him when we get home! That is if he will have us after being with Papa & Nama! We were going to go to Brazil for Toby's Graduation present next year, but I will probably be way prego at that time and would prefer to have my kid in the states! :-) SO needless to day we are going now (plus our tax refund pays for it!). So look out Brasil, here we come!

Things have been great with us! Just crazy busy! Gaige is now 10 months and 3 weeks. He has taken 14 steps a number of times and loves to crawl like a stink bug or like "Mogley" from the jungle book. He loves to clap for himself, give five, give kisses, wave "bye," throw & chase balls and laugh! We love him tons and he brings the greatest joy we have ever felt! Savy is busy with teaching. She will also start coaching a U8 soccer team and is so excited. Toby is so busy with his engineering major. We are on Spring Break, but unfortunately for Toby, he will be studying for the FE exam (the HUGE 8 hour test that is required to graduate and become an engineer). Good luck Toby! So yeah, we are pathetic. Here is our post about Christmas that was 3 months ago!!! We spent a week in Orderville with Toby's Parents & Family. The next week, we were surprised to be visited by Seth (my brother) & Jeannie, Clayton & Lucy (his wife and kids). They were going to go to Oregon, but couldn't get there because of bad weather, so my parents picked them up and we all spent the rest of the break at the house here! Although they were sad, we were glad to have them here! Zack (my other brother) & Keri, Adylin & Brinkly (his wife and kids) were also in town visiting her parents (this was the in-laws turn for this holiday). It was so fun to be all together! I know I am biased, but I think I have the cutest nephews & nieces ever! I love them! We had a blast! We also all went bowling, skiing & sledding! It was so fun! Just a quick update. I have been offered a job to teach the Culinary Arts class and three 3 hour labs next semester at Southern Utah University (this is where I graduated from in May). It has worked out great because we needed the money and Toby is able to watch Gaige for 5 of the hours, my brother, Shad who lives in our basement, is watching for 3 hours and my friend Hanna offered to watch Gaige for 3 hours too! The only way that I agreed to teaching the class is because only family and an awesome friend can watch Gaige. I am so nervous, excited and sad. I am sad to leave my little Gaige for 11 hours a week! However, it is only for 4 months and truly is a blessing! There are 58 people in the class right now....yeah a little intimidating for my first time...even though I did substitute teach for Artis Grady at the school for a week this semester. Should be interesting huh?! Hum...Professor Sorensen......ok so there is no way I will have the students call me that...weird and it makes me feel really old!!

Toby turned 25 today! He is quarter of a century old but still as hot as ever! We threw a suprise party for him on Friday, since he has to finish a take home test today that is due in the morning! Yuck!

For thanksgiving we went down to my family in Arizona. It was a blast! There was a ton of peope there to wish Josh off. He is going on a mission to Billings Montana! Josh gave an excellent talk on tithing on Sunday! We are so excited for him! He enters the MTC on the 17th!

Gaige's First Halloween!!!

Gaige was Tigger for Halloween! (Thanks to Uncle Lane who gave him this outfit for Christmas last year before he was born!) He kept trying to eat his whiskers and as you can see the make-up is smeared on his left cheek! Tigger totally fits this jumpy, wiggly active kid! He is starting to crawl already and he is only 6 1/2 months old! Ahh! We are going to have our hands full!

An Update from the Slackers!

Well things have been crazy for us. So here is a update since we have slacked off. In the past two months here is what has been going on. Toby has started school and is constantly doing homework. He is majoring in Engineering, which is very rigorous and probably the hardest major at SUU. Savanna tutors for 7 hours a week for a Lady named Linda who is taking Food Science and Elementary Organic/Biochemistry. This is with Gaige of course in our house, which can be a little challenging at times! :-) Savanna substitute taught at the college for a week which was pretty fun.

Gaige and Savy just returned on Friday from a nine day trip with her family! We all missed each other tons! It made us remember how blessed we are to have each other! We were glad that we got to video chat while we were gone though! Gotta love technology!

Josh (Savy's brother) got his mission call and will serve as a representative for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in the Billings Montana mission, which basically takes in all of Montana and has a big chunk of Wyoming. He will be a great missionary! He leaves on December 17th. We will miss him tons, especially Gaige, who really likes his Uncle Josh.

Savanna will also be a Aunt again soon...Keri is going to pop any day now! This will give Savy's parents 5 grandkiddos now! We watched General Conference this weekend with Namma (Grandma Larson) and Grandpa Larson, and Josh (and of course our friendly basement neighbors, Shad and Micah). It was wonderful! Those speakers are always so inspired!

Gaige is now 5 months and 3 weeks old! It is crazy how time flies (as if it were a dream :-))! He is really growing- 17 pounds and 26.5 inches long! He loves to roll around the whole room and can even scoot himself. Look out world he is about to crawl! Gaige is also a lot more interactive- laughing and talking to us! He is such a good baby- rarely cries and never screams (although now with that said I am sure he will prove us wrong! :-)) We just can't imagine life without our sweet little Gaiger-man!

Other than that there isn't much going on...we are just lovin' life!

Here Gaige is in his Special Delivery overall outfit that Aunt Keri got for him. Last weekend Grandpa Larson, Shad, Josh, Abram, Nick, Mikaela, and Great Grandma Larson visited! It was so fun! Everyone but Great Grandma went up to Idaho to run the Salmon River (Savy was way bummed to not be able to go again since the river is so awesome, but she wouldn't trade having Gaige for nothing!). They will be stopping here again on their way home on Monday. Gaige thrived on all the attention! He loves to entertain people with his smiles, giggles and sticking his tongue out- which he does all the time! He sure does love his tongue, if you couldn't tell! He is just getting cuter and cuter and bigger every day!

Hi everyone it's Gaige, I'm going to post something since mom and dad do it all the time. Well not too much has been happening around here. I've just been happy as can be, but sometimes when I get really tired and I don't want to go to sleep, I scream and and throw a fit but I get over it.
As for my parents, they're crazy, they make just about any silly face or noise just to make me smile or laugh, most of the time I just smile to humor them. I did giggle for the first time at them the other day cause they were making some pretty funny noises and faces. Mom is is the best! She stays home with me all day and plays with me, feeds me and everything. As for dad, he is at work all day, he works at Lamoreaux Group an engineering firm, it is pretty slow right now because of the economy he says, but he loves to come home and play with me.
Well that is about it, hope you all are doing fine. Hope that you all can come see me soon to see how big and cute I'm getting.

Well since Zack, Keri & Ady left for dental school, we have been painting the upstairs trying to get it ready to move in. Although we miss them we are excited for the extra room and for them to get into dental school so early. Grandma Larson was up last week to help Zack & Keri move and to help us paint and remodel. She did an amazing job and is such a hard worker! She wallpapered the living room and redecorated it with a lighthouse theme which is Savanna's favorite! We all stayed up till 1 or 2 in the morning for 4 nights trying to get it done by the time Grandma left on Monday with Keri & Ady. (Although we got a lot done, there is still a lot to do)! Savy is extremely exhaused because in addition to working hard and staying up late, Gaige still isn't sleeping very well through the night and wakes up choking at times. Here are some pictures of the remodel....we will post more later.

Here is the nasty wallpaper that was under the mirror in the entry way...who would have ever liked it? Savanna spent forever painting the front entry way... she painted it and then all the wallpaper underneath it peeled off and so all the paint came off too....it was a mess! She spent 3+ hours just on this. She didn't finish till 1:00 am!

Grandpa Larson was here to help Zack & Keri move to Oklahoma. He was a great help and took Gaige for a night and a couple of mornings so we could sleep. Gaige was blessed today! He was so good and slept through the whole thing! Toby gave a really sweet blessing. His middle name, Zackariah is after his uncle Zack, who his parents met through and it means "Jehovah has heard." His other middle, Earl is after his dad and it is a family name and it means "nobleman or leader". The baby blanket under him was made by his great grandmother, Enid, who died two week before Savy was born. All of Gaige's uncles (Seth, Zack, Josh, Shad) and his mom where blessed with it. This was our first Sunday taking Gaige to church. Isn't he so cute in the outfit Grandma Larson bought for him?! He was so good too...he slept through most of church...(he will make a good bishop someday- sleeping on the stand)! Church was harder for mom since she usually takes naps when Gaiger does and she wasn't able to while they were at church. Savanna graduated on May 3rd, 2008! She got her degree in Human Nutrition with a minor in Chemistry and was a Southern Utah Univeresity Valedictorian. Dad/Grandpa Larson drove all the way from Arizona to see it. Mom/Grandma was already here helping with little Gaige. Toby's parents also came over from Orderville to support us, which was so nice. Keri Larson also graduated and got her degree in Criminal Justice! Graduation itself was extremely boring! The Main speaker gave a "dooms-day" lecture on global warming. After Graduation, Keri's parents hosted a BBQ, which was really fun and delicious. Then we went to Grandee's icecream (with my second cousin Mariah & her family, Aunt JoAnn, Cindy Wright & her Niece, Zack, Keri & Adylin, and Mom & Dad Larson) to conquer "The Zion" that has 48 scoops of icecream and they put your name on plaque if your group finishes it! It was a fun but tiring day- especailly since Savanna only got 3 hours of sleep that night/early morning because she was up with the little guy. We went to bed at 6:00pm that night as soon as little Gaiger went to sleep!

We had our baby Gaige today at 12:40pm. He weighed 8 pounds & 4 ounces and was 21 inches long. Savanna's water broke at 1:00am and we have not slept since then. She had the baby totally natural, so the labor went painfully well. Toby was the perfect coach and stayed by her side the whole time. Gaige is such a good baby. He actually didn't even cry when he first came out, the nurses really had to rub him and suction him to get him to cry as pictured above. In fact, that was probably the most he has cried so far. We are really blessed with a wonderful son! We would like to thank everyone that helped out and prayed for us, we felt the extra strength. We are excited and scared to be parents. We love you all!
